From the supplier: The OECD and the UK Office of National Statistics have maintained separate systems of leading indicators to predict movements in business cycles. Such systems serve as economic forecasting tools independent of traditional economic models. However, whether they perform as well as economic models in predicting turning points in the business cycle remain unknown. To remedy this problem, the OECD and UK systems of leading indicators are evaluated.
